Wednesday, May 1, 2024: AC/DC - Stormy May Day

May Day means many different things to many different people.  For some, it is an ancient marker signifying the beginning of summer.  Celebrations often include bonfires, Maypole dancing, and rituals to encourage fertility and prosperity.

In some countries, it's known as International Workers' Day, a celebration of the working class, and commemorates the historic struggles and gains made by workers and the labor movement throughout the world. Parades, demonstrations, rallies, and speeches are common features of Labor Day celebrations, with workers advocating for labor rights, fair wages, and better working conditions.

In Hawaii, May 1st is Lei Day, a celebration of Hawaiian culture and the tradition of giving and wearing leis.

For me, it's just another excuse to play cool music.  And ask the question, why didn't AC/DC use more slide guitar on their records?

Monday, March 21, 2011: AC/DC - Thunderstruck

Covers Week was a blast. There has to be a Part II coming soon, I hardly even got started sharing all the cool covers I wanted to.

But, that's for another time.

Let's start this week, then, with a total opposite of Covers Week.

Here is a band that I don't think anyone has ever done decent cover versions of.

And, really, why would you want to?

It's Monday, people

If you are about to rock, I salute you!
