First up is a band that, not only doesn't have any singers, they don't even have a guitarists. Wild, right?
The Omnific is an Australian progressive rock/metal band known for their unique instrumental approach, featuring two bassists and a drummer, with no guitars. Their music blends elements of djent, prog metal, and fusion, creating intricate, groove-heavy compositions.
The second track for today's TWOfer comes from Death, who are not actually an instrumental only band. In fact, they were known for their aggressive vocals, intricate guitar work, and complex song structures. Death was formed in 1983 in Orlando, Florida, by guitarist and vocalist Chuck Schuldiner, who is often referred to as the "Godfather of Death Metal."
Today's track, however, is from The Sound of Perseverance (1998), their final studio album, featuring highly technical and progressive elements.
