What do Goldie (Drum & Bass Icon, Producer and DJ), Rob Halford (lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Judas Priest) and Jorja Smith have in common?
They are all, in various ways, connected to the West Midlands market town of Walsall. Who would have thought, eh?
But, today, it's Jorja Smith we are here to celebrate. From her Wiki, "Her debut studio album, Lost & Found, was released in 2018 to critical acclaim, and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. The same year, Smith won the Brit Critics' Choice Award. In 2019, she was named Best British Female Artist at the Brit Awards and was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist."
That's a pretty great run, and totally deserved, she is an incredible talent who hopefully will continue to produce these glorious slices of soul for many years.
