Monday, August 13, 2012: Black Country Communion - The Outsider

Black Country Communion are lead vocalist and bassist Glenn Hughes (of Deep Purple), drummer and percussionist Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (of Dream Theater), and guitarist and vocalist Joe Bonamassa.

If there are any people on the planet who can wake you up and wipe away the sleepy cobwebs from your ears this Monday morning, it's these guys.

Good morning, sleepyhead.

Monday, July 23, 2012: Black Stone Cherry - Like I Roll

It's always dangerous to talk about open roads and restless souls on a Monday morning.

I mean, we all have duties and responsibilities to tend to, right?

To hear the siren song of the highway at that moment, well, we all know nothing good can come from that, can it?

But, who here hasn't at least thought about it?  Who here hasn't once looked at the freeway offramp that leads to their dead end job, then looked back up at those signs that broadcast those future destinations, often miles and miles ahead.  Who here hasn't once looked up and wondered....

So, here's to making choices, and here's to the wisdom to discern between what's right and what's good.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Fault Line

This really is unprecedented.

Just before going on hiatus for June and July, I posted a song by the group Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The thing about it is, it was the wrong song. It really was.

I didn't realize it at the time because, without going into too much detail, my head was really in a bad place. I took my eye off the ball, I was preoccupied by other things.

Excuses.

Don't get me wrong, Whatever Happened To My Rock N Roll is a fine song. Somewhat. But it's just not the RIGHT song. If that makes any sense.

Here is the song I should have posted by BRMC.

There, that feels better

Enjoy.

Friday, June 3, 2011: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Whatever Happened to My Rock 'n' Roll

It's always good to end the week with some questions -

What is the meaning of my life?

Why do I do this every day?

What will the future bring?

What did I accomplish this week?

When will my saviour come for me?

Whatever Happened To My Rock & Roll?

It's the weekend - let's shake the cobwebs out, put on our black motorcycle boots and give this old week a right, good kick goodbye

Keep on truckin, everyone

Friday, February 4, 2011: Black Sabbath - Into The Void

It's Friday

It's the weekend

It's about time we went Into The Void

Escape from brainwashed minds and pollution

Leave the earth to all it's sin and hate

Find another world where freedom waits
