Monday, April 8, 2024: Rare Earth - I Just Want To Celebrate

 

In North America, On Monday, April 8th, there is going to be a Total solar eclipse.

And, no, I'm not using this day to play Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler, get out.

There's supposedly a lot of strange stuff associated with this specific eclipse. 

Some of it is scientific:

I've lived through enough of these events to know that life will, indeed, go on after today has come and gone.

So, rather than get caught up in wacky conspiracy theories, or in mindless panic, how about we use today, this Monday, to just celebrate: That we're alive, that it is, in fact, a pretty good time to be alive, and that maybe we can use this time to fine some enjoyment for ourselves, and to try to lift up others who might not have a reason to celebrate.

We're half way through the year that's supposed to be the end of the world.

It's just slithering by, is it not.

It's June, it's summer (if you're in the Northern Hemisphere, that is), the days are getting longer and the time is going by faster.

It all seems to be spinning out of control.  Like, you know, the Earth is in Crisis
