It's Monday, mid-December.

I can't get my Christmas shopping finished.

I can't get into the holiday spirit.

I can't get past the rude, pushy people in the stores

I can't get warm.

I can't get over the feeling that, while it won't be the end of the world, 2012 is going to be a pretty scary year

I can't get any help for those who are needy, or get any sympathy for those who are greedy

And, even with all that, I still can't get next to you
