Thursday, August 9, 2012: The Impressions - Gypsy Woman

Anyone remember K-Tel?  In the 60's & 70's, K-Tel released all these compilation albums like "The Super Hits", "The Dynamic Hits" and "The Number One Hits".  You couldn't watch TV without hitting a K-Tel commercial.

My sister had several of these records, and one of the tracks that has forever stood out in my mind was this, Gypsy Woman by The Impressions.  It just sounded so other-worldly, so foreign, so very cool.

You have to wonder what selection of today's music is going to entice and engage future generations like this did for me?

What a weird week.

Anger, regret, dreams.

Ok, so, gentle reader, I am here to let you know that I've seen the light.

I've finally got myself together.

Just look at the smile on my face.
