I say it over and over, CSOTD is not just about playing the hits, our beloved songs from the past which we grew up on, which influenced us or just brings back great memories. No, this was always about some old codger (that's me, dear reader), who is in his 50s, but grew tired of everyone saying, "Nobody makes any good music anymore."
I knew that was poppycock, and I created this blog to make my case and rail against that idea.
Although released in 2023, "Made For Me" by Muni Long (pronounced "money long”) became one of 2024's biggest hits, and won a 2025 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance.
"Made For Me" is a minimalist R&B ballad with just piano, drum machine and bass, but with a heart and soul as deep as any major city symphony. Enjoy.
