Wednesday, August 1, 2012: Elvis Presley - Never Been To Spain



We'll keep rolling on through our own special Olympics tribute here on CSOTD, today's focus is all about Spain.

Best Sports: They have won 17 medals in sailing - three more than they have in cycling. Tennis has also provided 11 medals throughout their history at the Olympics.

Star Performers: The Spanish football team - the reigning European under 21 champions - will be gold medal contenders and with European Championship winners Juan Mata and Jordi Alba in their squad they will are one of the hot favourites for gold. Rafael Nadal will return to Wimbledon having been knocked out to Lukas Rosol in the 2nd round of the 2012 Championships but he won gold in Beijing and has won at Wimbledon before. Beijing gold medal cyclist Samuel Sanchez, will provide stiff competition for Britain's Mark Cavendish in the men's road race.
