Thursday, March 29, 2012: Arsenal - How Come

The light was different when I was growing up, I'm sure of it.

My formative years were in the 1970's, and I'm convinced the light was different then.

It was softer. Clearer. The hues leaned more to the yellow and orange then they do today. Today there is a lot of blue, maybe too much.

I do not know what caused this change, nor can I ever hope to know how to bring back those tones.

Obviously, this could be more down to nostalgia and the flawed security of memory.

But, I don't think so. I'm sure the light was different then.

This song makes me remember that brilliant light.
